Welcome To My Thrifty Store
There is a certain stigma around the idea of shopping at a thrift store. Some of the people that are shopping at second hand stores may not be able to afford to shop elsewhere, but that should not affect how non thrift store shoppers think of those people. There are people who shop at second hand stores who can easily afford to shop at high end stores, but simply chose not to. and I couldn’t think of a better way to help the earth then to reduce, re-use and recycle. Many thrift stores sell items that have been donated, which are then sold to help raise funds for a charity or organization. When people buy used items it gives those items a new home. One man’s trash really is another man’s gold. I hope that this store will inspire its buyers – not necessarily to run to the first thrift store they see, but to find beauty in repurposing something.
I want to prove to people that you don’t necessarily need to have a lot of money to put together a decent outfit. In no way do I consider myself trendy or fashionable – I just love to thrift shop and want to share my finds with you all.
I hope to shop around my closet over the next few days and put some thrifted outfits together for you all!
